“Upon Reflection”

It’s the close of another year.  A close of a decade.  I’m older, hopefully a bit wiser, but mostly humbled by how much I am loved, by family, friends and by the energy that is greater than everything, God, Great Spirit.

Ten years ago, I started each day in a place of fear, literally my body would shake some days before getting out of bed. I felt I had this awesome responsibility to fix and make right everything in my life and the life of the ones around me.  I was on my own with my abundance of worries.  It was all up to me.  In some twisted way, I was under the illusion that I was contracted to play God in my family’s life and I was underqualified.

In the decade that has ended, I can look back in gratefulness for the truth I was shown ever so kindly, lovingly and gently. A good life is not about control, dominance and driven by fear.  Life, for me, is about surrender, creativity and love.  I accept my humanness too, as some days I catch myself in fear, rather than love, but I’m catching it and I know that in every given moment, I’m doing the best I can and so is everyone else.

Now, ten years later, I wake up with hope and a prayer on my lips, giving the day over for the highest good of myself and others. As I go about my day, I possibly forget myself and hook up with the energy of fear or its partner anger, but I catch it, or perhaps someone else catches it for me and shares.  Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have understood any of what I’m writing today.

It doesn’t matter how someone finds spirituality. It can be a structured organization, or meditational experience, or like for me, being with my animal friends.  There is no one right way to discover a love for oneself and all beings.  Connecting with Divine Love brings appreciation and reverence for all that is experienced, even those times that are subjected to misinterpretations of being “bad” or “troubled.

I’ve been on my healing path since 2012 and although I feel connected to Divine, I am, and will always be in the process of healing. My wish for everyone in 2020 and this next decade, is that we all are able to feel God’s presence more deeply in our daily lives and spend more time allowing the energies of love to be our catalyst for change.

At Crow Moon Healing we support individuality in spirituality. Many blessings for the coming year ahead.

 TWO-DAY BASIC SHAMANISM CLASS - MARCH 7-8, 2020

Connecting with Divine Spirit through Shamanism
A two-day basic shamanism workshop
Saturday, March 7, 2020  •  9 am - 9 pm
Sunday, March 8, 2020  •  9 am - 4 pm
Crow Moon Healing  •  6472 Breunig Road, rural Mazomanie, WI

From the beginning of time, indigenous cultures on every continent shared a shamanic spiritual view. Our forebears lived close to the earth, deeply in tune with her cycles and seasons, the elements and nature. In this connection, they found their spirituality. They believed that every living being had a spirit - not just people, but also animals, trees, stones and plants. They commonly traveled into the spirit realm to communicate and interact with power animals, spirit guides and nature spirits. Through exploring the basics of shamanism, we can rekindle our connection to the divine and develop our ability to communicate directly with Spirit to receive guidance on our spiritual path. This is a foundational class for future shamanic workshops.

In this two-day experiential workshop, we will:

• gain comfort with accessing divine wisdom through the shamanic journey and explore the shamanic realms by journeying to the Lower and Upper Worlds
• meet a power animal and a spirit teacher to serve as guides in the spirit world
• practice a method of divination with natural objects and connect with nature spirits
• participate in a fire ceremony to release and transform energy
• experiment with the shamanic sounds of drumming and rattling

Fee: $375 with early registration by February 24 -OR- $425 after February 24. Meals included in the workshop fee: snacks, lunch on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday and lunch on Sunday. Dinner on Saturday evening is potluck style before the evening fire ceremony. Basic lodging is available on-site for Saturday evening at no extra charge, or bring a tent and camp if you prefer.
